چکیده

We suggest that the DNA molecules could form the cholesteric phase owing to an interaction mediated by the network of the hydrogen bonds (H-network) in the solvent. The model admits of the dependence of the optical activity of the solution on the concentration of the PEG, and the change in the sense of the cholesteric twist due to the intercalation by the daunomicyn. Using the experimental data for the cholesteric phase of the DNA dispersion, we obtain a rough estimate for the energy given by our model, and show that it should be taken into account as well as the energy due to the steric repulsion, van der Waals, and electrostatic forces, generally used for studying the DNA molecules. The elastic constant of the H-network generating the interaction between the DNA molecules is determined by the energy due to the proton’s vibration in the hydrogen bonds.

Aminolysis of selected methylpyrimidines in protic solvents

Crystallographic data analyses indicate that three types of prolinium cations, along with two types of hydrogen bonding, produce and stabilize the helical structure of triprolinium 12-phosphomolybdate. There are similarities between this organic-inorganic compound and peptides/proteins. The stronger “conventional” hydrogen bonds and the less common C-H…O attractions play critical roles in gener...

Inductive Effect of Bioactive Intermolecular Hydrogen Bonding Complex of 1,2,4,5 –Tetrazine and Inorganic Acid by NMR and QTAIM

In this paper, NMR and QTAIM analysis for three substituted of T2SA complex was investigated in the gas and four solvents at DFT level. Intermolecular O–H…N hydrogen bonds between 1,2,4,5-Tetrazine and Sulphurous acids enhance the stability of complex.1,2,4,5-Tetrazine is a highly reactive diene for [4+2] inverse-Diels–Alder cycloaddition processes and an excellent precursor to attain the pyrid...

DFT study of the intermolecular interaction of 3,4-dinitropyrazole (DNP) and H2O

In the present work, the sensitivity to the moisture (hygroscopisity) is studied for 3,4-dinitropyrazole (DNP) as a famous energetic molecule. All of the DNP-H2O complex systems (1-3) as well as individual molecules were optimized and bond lengths, bond angles, dihedral angles, charge transfer and stability via NBO analysis, corrected interaction energies with ZPE + BSSE and hydrogen bonds anal...
